Description Tot nog toe drie auto's gevonden met vierwielaandrijving en dubbele cabine die niet 'totaal besmet' zijn met ambientales, hoewel dat er ook maar een paar waren. Er is gewoon maar weinig aanbod van dit soort auto's. Een van de drie was niet in al te beste staat en daardoor voor 14.000 dollar te duur, de ander te opvallend chroom-glimmend en rood en te veel 'dit is een auto van mensen met geld', en ook veel geld nodig, 20.000 dollar. Deze derde, gisteren gevonden met Keith en Rob die ALLE autoverkooppunten van Loja kennen, en is veel geld voor 16.000 maar lijkt wel de beste. In Ecuador doen de autodealers niets aan onderhoud, die verkopen alleen maar nieuwe auto's en onderdelen. Handelaren verkopen alleen maar tweedehands, garantie bestaat niet, je mag voor een eventuele koop wel langs een monteur of garage die je kent om te laten kijken of die auto geen verborgen gebreken heeft. Maar elke koop is op eigen risico. En (kleinere) garages kijken wat er aan moet gebeuren, geven jou een lijstje mee van onderdelen die je dan zelf moet kopen en bij hun brengt, en dan gaan zij het monteren voor het arbeidsloon. Zo zit dat.
